THE MULTI-TOOL SOLUTION
Alpine Specialists is a resource network. Our team of diversely skilled people share a common ability to problem solve on site, drawing on their range of experience and connections in the forestry, mining and recreation sectors.
Crew leader Craig Ellis has worked for 30+ years in mining exploration. During that time, his roles have included camp manager, mechanic, road layout, geophysics, channel sampling and rope access prospecting. He operates small equipment, manages avalanche terrain, and can compose emergency rescue plans for any application. He is the human multi-tool.
Avalanche Safety Plans & Implementation
During his career as a mountain guide, Craig Ellis has accumulated a wealth of experience in recognizing and managing avalanche terrain. He holds current WSBC certification for avalanche control blasting. In industrial settings, he has created and managed avalanche safety programs using explosives to mitigate risk. He can write a safety management plan for your operation, consult on blasting plans, or provide you with a qualified onsite crew.
Emergency Response Plans
For any work site, Craig can write up an emergency response plan that fulfills all the required elements. His training outside of guiding includes Search and Rescue certifications for CDFL, HETS and he is a member of the Revelstoke Swiftwater Rescue Team Level 2.
Bridge Repair
Alpine Specialists has small equipment that can be used for bridge repair work on forestry and mining roads. Skid steer with forks, bucket, auger, concrete mixer and a mini excavator with two buckets and a thumb.
Mining Exploration
For drill platform construction and helipads, we provide a fully certified crew of fallers and carpenters. Unusual or difficult sites are considered a challenge not an obstacle. Our team is comfortable working around helicopters and will safely manage exits, pickups and long lining loads into difficult locations.
Rope Access Prospecting
Craig Ellis holds current certification as an IFMGA/ACMG mountain guide. He is qualified to safely lead geologists and prospectors into mountainous and glaciated terrain.
“I would like to personally thank you for the job which you have done here. Your pads are well constructed, in some cases almost to the point of being artistic. Even more important, when minor issues have arisen you and your team have dealt with them quickly, effectively, and with such a positive manner. Just a super job.”
